Hikex exists for one reason: too many people in India are told the outdoors is something you must be taken into, not something you can learn to enter on your own. We think that’s backwards.

What we’re building

• The Epic Sahyadri Trail — a 40-stage long-distance route, documented and free, with water sources and escape routes for every stage.
• The Hiking Field Course — serious, one-on-one outdoor education for people who want to become genuinely self-sufficient.
• Open maps — a browser-based mapping and trail directory, in the spirit of nakarte.me, built for Indian terrain.

What’s free, and what isn’t

Core trail data and maps are free. We charge only for deep instruction and community — never for the right to be outdoors.
